I focus my practice on providing counseling and psychotherapy for couples and families, and to improving the lives of individual adults through a combination of counseling and hypnosis.
I offer a supportive, comfortable counseling environment where each client can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings, to make decisions about changes they would like to make in their lives, and to implement those changes.
In working with couples and families I help each member to communicate their concerns, and to negotiate changes in behaviors. My focus with couples and families is on opening communications between family members, teaching family members communication skills so that they can continue to communicate effectively well after they have completed therapy, and helping members of families to make changes which improve their relationships. My training with couples and families includes an internship at the Brief Family Therapy Center in Milwaukee, WI under the direction of two of the pioneers in the family therapy field, Insoo Berg and Steve De Shazer. I am a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have had specialized training in hypnosis, and I am a member of the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis.
